Goddess Captured Part One

The Goddess, Supreme Guardian and Champion of the Galaxy, floats lazily through space, killing time and enjoying a brief respite before the inevitable summons from her masters or else a cry for help from one wayward civilization or other.

The Goddess's sleek metaflesh glistens as she maneuvers trough space. It is odd for this area of the Galaxy to be so quiet for so long, but not unheard of, and so she is not worried, though it natural for her to remain ever vigilant. For her charge, assigned to her from the Celestial Council, is all of creation.

A strange sound calls her attention. It is far away, as is everything in outer space, but not so very far for the Goddess. It is an odd sound, like nothing she has ever heard before, and while she has never known fear, there is a slight unease that she has felt several times in the past, usually when facing an enemy she has never faced before.

In mere moments the goddess traverses several thousand lightyears and glides to a halt. Before her is a sight like she has never seen before. An abomination, a creature that she knows instantly could never have been created by one of the Celestial Three, for it defied the very nature of things.

The creature bore many tentacles, was bulbuss and globular, it looked as though it should have been clumsy and yet slid through space as gracefully as she. Looking down upon this creature increased her previous sense of unease, but fear was absent. Whatever this creature was did not matter, she would destroy it all the same. Where it came from however, was a topic of great importance to the Goddess.

It had no eyes to speak of, no ears or nose, its mouth was attatched to the end of one of its tentacles. The Goddess briefly wondered if the creature could even understand what it was or where it was going. Perhaps it was a mere fluke, a doomed mutation of one of the Celestial Three's beings, but as it altered its course, it was clear to the Goddess that it meant to intercept her.

It's approach was swift, it flew at her across the lightyears, its unholy features becoming more distinct to her as it approached.

All at once, the Goddess could feel the thoughts within it, its hatred and disdain. It was a beast of evil and she knew at once that it was out in the blackness of space to kill.
"Not in my Galaxy," she mutters to herself, anger rising above her unease. No Demon had ever defeated her before, certainly this beast would fall as all her foes before it. The battle would be swift, and fierce!
